ISOM AUSTIN
1899-1985
   
Boonscamp resident Isom Austin, 86, died December 3, 1985 in the home
of his daughter.
  
Mr. Austin was born October, 1899 in Johnson County. The son of Morgan
and Fannie Spriggs Austin.
  
He was a retired miner, and member of the Church of Christ.
  
His wife, Bessie Austin preceded him in death April 13, 1978.
  
Surviving are a son, Alvin Austin, Clinton, IL., a daughter, Lillie M.
Daniels of Boonscamp, a sister, Flora Davis of Stone, Ky, 11
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Friday, December 6 in Meally Church of
Christ with Bennie Blankenship and Arville Short officiating.
  
Burial was in the Austin Cemetery, Boonscamp, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
