Rites Thursday For Ohio Woman
Mabel Anshenfelter Is Victim Of Cancer
Mrs. Mabel Anshenfelter, 30, died March 18 at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Branham of Boons Camp, following an illness
of six months. Her death was attributed to cancer.
Born December 19, 1926 at Boons Camp, she was the daughter of Ben and
Martha Newsom Branham. She was a member of the United Baptist
Church. Mrs. Anshenfelter had been a resident of Lima, Ohio, for
eight years.
She was married March 26, 1946, to Irvin Anshenfelter, who survives.
Other survivors are two brothers, Ben Branham, Jr., and Lowell
Branham, both stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army, and three
sisters, Mrs. Alice Vivian Suttle, Ashland, Mrs. Anna Marie Thompson,
Sharples, W. Va., and miss Wanda Branham, Boons Camp.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Little
Friendship United Baptist Church with Earl Muncy, Arthur Preece and
Nim Sturgill as officiating ministers.
Burial was made in the Branham cemetery at Boons Camp under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
