ROBIN ROICE ADAMS 1953 A freak accident took the life of Robin Roice Adams, three and one-half year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adams Monday morning, August 6, 1953, when he fell from the truck which his father was driving near their home in Stafford Addition. The accident happened when the truck was traveling very slowly and it is thought the child fell when the vehicle struck a bump in the road. Several other children were riding in the truck at the time. He was rushed to the Paintsville Clinic but was pronounced dead upon arrival by a local physician. Death was caused by injuries to the head and face. Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Robert Rickey and Garrett Do uglas Adams, and one sister, Ronda Rene Adams, all at home; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Lyons of this city, and the paternal grandfather, Mr., Garrett Adams, also of this city. Funeral services were conducted at 2.00 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. W. F. Pettus officiating. Interment was made in the Mayo Cemetery under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
