GARRETT ADAMS
  
Garrett Adams, 85, of Paintsville died June 12 1971 in
a local hospital after ill for several weeks.
  
The retired building contractor and Freewill Baptist
was born in Magoffin County to the late Willey and
Symantha Collins Adams. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Mrs, Julianna Adams.
  
Survivors unclude two sons, Jesse E.Adams of Gardenia,
California; and Garrett Adams Jr.,of Long Beach,
California; and three daughters, Mrs. John Burton and
Mrs.Bobby Ray Castle of Thealka and
Mrs.Harvey Hensley of Jenkins.
  
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs.Martha Holbrook of
Paintsville and Mrs.Kessie Moncrief of Whitesburg;
12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
  
C.C.Hall and Don Fraley held services June 14 in the
chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home which supervised
interment afterward in the Mayo Memorial Cemetery
at Paintsville
