Built by Evans Deakin of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She was commissioned on 17 December 1945 and used as a Training ship between November 1954 and December 1955. She was sold September 1961 and broken up in 1962.
The above photograph was given to Alice Kendall (nee Rogers) by her son Alexander (Alec) Kendall who served in the Navy for 2 years (from 1945 to 1947) and on HMAS Murchison for 4 months during 1946.
