Parental-Link: Link to the Family name of Reynolds:
In Jesse Bench's Diary of Nov 8, 1906 - he was talking about Bettie Dixon and described her as "Bettie is the mother of Dixon boys & a sister to the Barrett boys & my mother's sister's girl".  The term "mother's sister's girl" = Jesse's mother was Sarah (Reynolds) Bench. Sarah had a sister Martha J Reynolds who according to research done by Nathan Haley married a William Barrett.  We also know that our William Barrett was married to a Martha J. according to the 1860 census.  The term "girl" is referring to the woman the author (Jesse Bench) is describing here "Bettie". This in turn also makes Bettie a daughter to Martha, and sister to Julian and Samuel.

In Billie Cates Correspondence he refers to the middle name being "Jane"
