many good stories are related ofhis adventures with wild game, then afforded

When at an advanced age, and somewhat childish, he would relate hishunting
adventures of sixty or seventy-five years ago, as if they hadhappened but
yesterday, and would sometimes imagine that he washunting deer or trapping for
mink. This was his forte in his youngerdays, in which he took great pride. His

The Oldest Living Twins
The oldest twins now living in the United States are Mrs. LovicaMatteson and
Mrs. Sally Clark, born at Rutland, Vt in 1802 andconsequently eighty-nine
years of age at the present time. Theirparents, named Fisk, had twelve
children - five boys and seven girls -several of whom died, but none below the
age of eighty, while onelived to be ninety-seven. The father died at
ninety-five and Mrs.Fisk at ninety-two. Mrs. Matteson has attended to the
sick for fiftyyears and still ministers to the inflicted. She had five
children andlives with one of the surviving three at Angola, N.Y. Her memory
isremarkable and she has a wonderful stock of reminiscences. Mrs. Clarklives
with her children at Hamburg, N.Y., and she is hearty andvigorous. Living but
twenty miles apart, the sisters are oftentogether and they never fail to meet
on their birthday, which ispleasantly celebrated every year. The next oldest
living twins inthis country were born in Germany in 1804 and now reside in St.
Cloud,Minn.
