Anderson, Ind., .June 29.—Robert Maranville, who for many yearsconducted a
Republican newspaper at Pendleton, and, on the advent ofthe Progressive party,
moved his plant to Anderson, was madedefendant, today, in the Superior Court,
for a divorce.  The suit wasfiled by Mrs. Eleanor Maranville, who charges
non-support. Mrs.Maranville recently took employment as auditor in the
policydepartment of a local life insurance company. She asks custody of hertwo
children. Maranville is said to have become financially involvedwhen he moved
his newspaper plant to this city to publish a dailyRepublican paper. The paper
lasted one week and several ardentRepublicans who took stock in the property
are also said to have losttheir money. A linotype machine purchased on
payments was sold tosatisfy labor claims and Maranville
departed from Anderson. He has not been seen here

In celebration of their golden wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. RoyCovey,
1754 Lincoln, will be honored at a family party Sunday.
The couple was married June 28, 1913, in Ogden, and have resided heresince
that time.
Mr. Covey was employed by the Utah-Idaho Central Railroad for 16years, and
during World War II, he and Mrs. Covey were employed at theUtah General Depot.
At present, Mr. Covey is working for theWilliamsen Body and Equipment Co.
Interesting hobbies of the couple include gardening and collectingrare rocks
and gems, and each summer they travel extensively inpursuit of scenic places.
Mr. and Mrs. Covey are the parents of four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth[Violet]
Schurz, Ogden; Mrs. Arnold [Mary] Pinnell and Mrs. Dale[Donna] Hufstetler of
Roy, and Mrs. Golden [Leora] Bennett, Kaysville.They also reared a
granddaughter, Mrs. Richard [Gloria] Johnson,Clearfield, and a grandson, Roy
J. Holden, Sunset.
They have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

he record for the city on the number
of marriages solemnized.

First Marriage In Congregational Church
In Five Years That of Miss C. E. Sweet
and Mr A. S. Cox.
MILFORD, June 29-Five weddings were solemnized In this town yesterdayand
At high noon today Miss Charlotte Elvira Sweet and Mr Albert SewallCox were
pronounced man and wife at the
foot of the altar In the Congregational church by the pastor, RevWebster
Woodbury. The wedding, the first hurch wedding In theCongregational church in
five years, was distinctly the societywedding of the season. As early as 11.30
this morning the church wasfilled with invited guests, and for half an hour
they were entertainedby an organ program rendered by Prof Frank R. Lotz.
At 12 o'clock the bridal procession entered the church and passed upthe broad
aisle to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march. The bridewas attended by
Miss Maria Greon Crowley Streeler of Johnstown, N Y,Miss Frances B. Austin,
Edith C. Wires and Annie C. Bumner, Miss IreneA Sweet, sister of the bride,
was maid of honor and Orrin A. Cox,brother of the groom, best man. The ushers
were Prof J. Murdoch ofTroy, N Y; Percival P. Cox of Portland, Ore; Carl L.
Sewall ofRochester, N Y, and Frank C. Little of Buffalo, N Y.
The marriage ceremony was performed according to the modifiedEpiscopal form,
the ring being used, and the bride being given away byher mother. During the
performance of the ceremony Prof Lotz renderedappropriate music on the organ. 
The marriage having been proclaimed,the bridal party paused out to the music
of Mendelssohn's weddingmarch and were conveyed to the residence of the
bride's mother, MrsCharlotte M. Sweet, 253 Main st, where a wedding breakfast
was servedto about 65 guests.
Early in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Cox were driven to South Framingham,where
they took a train for Maine, where they will pass the first twomonths or their
honeymoon. Mr and Mrs Cox will be at home after Oct 1,at 11 Locust ave, Troy,
N Y.
The wedding was a social event which will long be remembered. Thebride has
been a leader In the social world of
Milford and the groom Is a well-known professor of Troy, N T. Theevent was
termed a "rainbow" wedding, and the
name was exemplified In the costumes of the bridesmaids and thedecorations of
the church and residence of the
bride's mother. The colors of the rainbow were beautifully blended ina wealth
of ribbon and potted plants.
The gowns of the ladles were the perfection of the dressmakers' art,and were
the subject of much comment from the female portion of theguests.
The bride wore white satin covered with embroidered crepe do chine andcarried
bride roses. Miss Irene A. Sweet, maid of honor, was attiredin pink silk,
covered with embroidered point d'esprlt and white silkribbons. Miss Edith C.
Wires wore a cream-colored gown, Miss Frances B. Austin baby blue,Miss Maria
G. C. Streeter Nile green and Miss
Annie C. Sumner light pink.
The presents received by the bride exceed in number and value thosereceived on
such an occasion in Milford for many years. The guestspresent included friends
from Portland, Ore, New York city. Troy, N Y,Rochester, N Y,
Buffalo, Springfield, Mass, Springfield, Vt, Lynn, Boston
