Hi, I just finished looking at your Surrarrer, Wiggins, Boone site. What a wonderful surprise. I am descended from Van Rensselear and Catherine Eliza (Weller) Surrarrer. My Great Grandmother was their daughter, Martha (Mattie) Jane Surrarrer (born 1846 in Newaygo Co., Mi), she married Seth J. Crawford. Seth J. and Mattie were married in Newaygo County and I was holding my breath that there would be a picture of them...or of Van R and Catherine.
I am guessing that James R. Surrarrer born abt 1809 must be brother to my Van Rensselear who was born in 1818.
