ZERMAN Obituaries

Obit 9/15/1902 edition "The Delta Atlas", Delta, Ohio
     Caspar Zerman died at his home on Front St, Saturday, Sept 13, 1902 at the age of 65 years, 1 month, and 29 days, after a long and painful illness. Funeral services took place at the residence Tuesday morning conducted by Rev. A.S. Watkins. The services were then concluded at the grave in Greenlawn cemetery by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

     Mr Zerman was born in Neiderdem, France, and emigrated to America at the age of 16, settling at Bellevue, Ohio. In 1866 he was united in marriage with Mary A. Harpster, and to them were born five children, two of whom have preceded him to the great beyond. He had been an honored and exemplary member of Wauseon Lodge I.O.O.F. since Sept 11, 1875. He had been a citizen of Delta 20 years, nearly all of which time he has been an invalid, but where he had the respect and esteem of all whose acquaintance he enjoyed.

     To those who assisted us in any way during the long illness, death and burial of husband and father, we extend our sincere thanks. Mrs C. Zerman and Family.

     Zerman, Frank W., beloved husband of Clara Zerman, at his late residence 1010 Grand Ave, Sunday Oct 19, 1925, aged 34 years. Services will be held at the above residence Tuesday, Oct 20 at 1:30 p.m.. Fort Industry lodge, No 630 F. & A.M. will have charge of the service. Frank was born in Waseon, Fulton Co, Ohio April 5, 1871. Interment at Delta, Ohio. Friends invited. Bernard L. Day, funeral director.



Obit "The Toledo Blade", Toledo , Ohio May 13, 1933, page 12
     Zerman, Donald C., at the home of his mother, Mrs Clara Zerman, 1010 Grand Ave, Friday May 12, 1933, aged 37 years. He was born in Fulton Co, Ohio. Deceased is survived by his mother, one son, Billy, one brother, Dr. H.B. Zerman. Remains removed to the Bernard L. Day Mortuary where friends may call and services will be held Monday, May 15, at 2 p.m. Interment at Delta, Ohio., Barton Smith, Lodge F.&.A.M. will conduct services.

     Mrs Clara E. Zerman, 97, died Saturday in Golden Haven Rest Home. She formerly lived in the 100 block of Grand Avenue. Mrs Zerman was born in Swanton and had lived in Toledo 58 years. She was a member of Washington Congressional Church, a charter member of the Ex-Delta and Ex-Swanton clubs of Toledo, and a member of the Mary Arden Circle, Pythian Sisters, and Port Industry Chapter, Eastern Star.

     Surviving are her son, Hubert B. Zerman, of Toledo, two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The body is at Boyer-Van Wormer Mortuary, Sylvania Ave where services will be Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Delta Cemetery.
