George W. Howard, 94, died at his home in Wauseon; Friday after a long illness. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. James Fleming of Delta. Mr. Howard had been a prominent Fulton County resident for many years. Early in life he operated a farm northeast of Wauseon. He had served as county treasurer and a member of the county fair board. After leaving the treasurer’s office Mr. Howard operated a hardware store in Wauseon for 12 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Howard is survived by a daughter, Margaret, a teacher in Ashtabula, and a son, Merrill, of Wauseon. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Edgar Mortuary with the Rev. E. E. Fowler officiating. The Delta Atlas; Delta, Ohio; October 4, 1951.
