GEORGE C. BITTIKOFER George C. Bittikofer, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 35, in his home near Winameg after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Clyde; daughters, Mrs. Arba Strayer, Wauseon, and Mrs. Paul Mizer, Delta; brothers, Joseph, Norwalk; and Lewis, Andover; sister, Mrs. William Heilman, Napoleon; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon in the Winameg Beulah Church with Rev. Harry E. Edinger officiating. She was a native of Monroe County, O., and a member of Beulah EUB Church. Surviving are also daughter, Mrs. Gladys Strayer, of Wauseon; son, Clyde, of Delta; sister, Mrs. Jane Whipple, Miami, Fla., and 12 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Edgar Mortuary and burial will be in Winameg Cemetery. DEATHS MARTHA F. BITTIKOFER Martha Frances Bittikofer, age 86, passed away Wednesday, following a long illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Mizer, Rfd 3, Delta, with whom she had been making her home. Born in Monroe County, Ohio, she had been a resident of Pike Twp., for many years and was a member of the Beulah E. U. B. Church. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Gladys Strayer, Wauseon; Mrs. Valleda Mizer, Delta; son, Clyde Bittikofer, Delta; sister, Mrs. Jane Whipple, Miami, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted from Edgar Funeral Home, Wauseon, Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Charles L. Miller, officiating. Interment was in the Winameg Cemetery. The Delta Atlas, Delta, Ohio; February 22, 1962 (Note: Martha died Wednesday, February 14, 1962 so her burial would have been Saturday, February 17, 1962. The obituary was published Thursday, February 22, 1962. Martha's (b. 1875 d. 1962.) parents were James Porter McConnell (1834-1917) and Margaret Oden (1850-1912).
