The photos below are of Isaac & Nancy (Mizer) 5/15 Hawk.  Her husband, Isaac Hawk, served under General Sherman on the march from Atlanta to the sea during the Civil War. He used to march on Memorial Day with the other Veterans at Bakersville. The Hawks had a farm near Orange, Ohio and raised three daughters: Mary (Hawk) Norris, Amanda Delphine (Hawk) Dreher and Chole (Hawk) Miller. They were members of Evans Creek Lutheran Church. Descendants of this family still live in the area.  These photos were donated by Sue Matthews. |
