Edward Porter Slates, 67, died Tuesday, January 25, at his farm home near Perrysville after a six weeks' illness. He was born at Kilgore and was a member of the Perrysville M. P. Church. Mr. Slates had been a resident of Perry Twp. for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Bertha; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ely of Alliance and one brother, John Slates of Cadiz.
