BAKER, Robert Franklin August 23, 2007 Robert Franklin Baker, 84, formerly of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was the son of Murel Franklin and Carrie Mae Warner Baker of Fulton County, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Krummel) Baker, and four sons, Robert Michael (Terry Lynn) of Plano, Texas; Roger Dennis (Debbi) of Pittsford, New York; Terry Alan (Katherine) of Winston Salem; and Phillip Bruce (Kimberly) of New Franken, Wisconsin. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Carrie, Kristin, Bohdan, Daria, Nikki, Allie, Even, Ryan, Seth and Noah. Mr. Baker was a World War II veteran, having served 3 years in the United States Army in the South Pacific. He retired from Daimler-Chrysler (Perrysburg, Ohio) in 1985 and thereafter spent his time between his homes in Waterville, Ohio and Port Charlotte, Florida. During his lifetime, he built two new homes for his family and remodeled two more. In addition to gardening and remodeling, his most enjoyed hobby was golfing, and he was rewarded with 2 holes-in-one after he began playing the game in 1985. Memorials may be made to the Kate B.
