KENNEDY, Colleen (KNODERER) Died on May 15, 2007  Colleen A. Kennedy, 78, of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Lyons, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 15th at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was the daughter of Gerald and Jeannette (Titus) Knoderer and a graduate of St. Vincent de Sales High School, Newark, OH. Colleen was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima in Lyons and a homemaker. On May 28, 1949, she married Thomas P. Kennedy; he preceded her in death in 2005. Colleen was a colorful, generous woman always wanting to give to others, and the all time "Queen of Garage Sales." She enjoyed music of all kinds and became a wiz on the computer. Colleen is survived by her sons, Mike of Arizona and Craig (Karen) Kennedy of Toledo; daughters, Joyce (Tom) Mika of Lyons, Peaches (Al) Holland of Archbold, and Karen Keller of Sylvania; grandchildren, Molly, Monica, Mitchell, Amanda, Alex, and Gina; brother, Neil of Glouser, OH and sister, Judy Crawford of California. Also preceding her in death were children, Janet and Tim and a brother, Jerry. Friends and family may visit Thursday, May 17th from 2-8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, Ohio (419-644-3601). Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18th in the funeral home with Fr. Gary Ferguson officiating. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, which held a special place in her heart. |
