Andy "Pete" and Alta "Belle" (Sallows) HOGE
December 24, 2001 and July 26, 2006



     Andy “Pete” H. Hoge, 81 years, of Delta, Ohio, passed away on December 24, 2001, in Heartland of Wauseon, where he had been since October 2000. He was a self employed farmer and also a professional meat cutter where he worked at Miller’s Super Value prior to his retirement. Andy was a member of Jasper Bible Church in Jasper, Mi.

     Surviving is his loving wife, Alta (Sallows) Hoge; children, Deborah (Mark) Long, of Holland, Oh, Albert (Lori) DuPree of Metamora, Oh, Howard (Sherrie) Hoge of Delta, Oh and Mary (Mark) Foster of Brooklyn, Mi; brothers, George and Walter Hoge of Scottsboro, Alabama; sister, Annie Shelton of Larkenville, Alabama; 9 grandchildren and 21 step-grandchild.

     Graveside services will be held in Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, OH on Thursday, December 27, 2001 at 2p.m.with Rev. Mary Burroughs officiating. Arrangements by the Biehl-Malone Funeral Home, Lyons, OH. Donations may be made to Lyons Christian Church or Lytton Church Assembly Fund.

     Alta "Belle" Hoge, age 78, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Wednesday evening, July 26, 2006, at the Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center. She was born June 14, 1928, in Lyons, Ohio to the late Barney and Inez (Bell) Sallows. On March 3, 1955, she married Andy Howard Hoge. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2001.

     Also preceding her in death was her brother, David Sallows and sisters, Irene Camburn and LaVerne Woodby. Belle took care of her family the majority of her life. In the 1950's she owned a beauty shop in Lyons. She was a member of Lyons V.F.W Post #7574 Auxiliary and Lyons Christian Church.

     Belle is survived by her children, Deborah (Mark) Long of Holland, OH, Dupree (Lori) Hoge of Metamora, OH, Howard (Sherri) Hoge of Delta, OH and Mary (Mark) Foster of Brooklyn, MI; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and another due in February.

     Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Lyons Cemetery, where visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Mary Burroughs will officiate. Arrangements by Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center.
