CLEGHORN, Robert Howard July 4, 2005  Toledo Blade, July 15, 2005 Robert H. Cleghorn, age 73, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was known for his kindness and helpfulness to others, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2005, at his home in Sebring, Florida. He was born September 21, 1931, to Howard and Mildred (Stubbins) Cleghorn in Lyons, Ohio and had been a resident of Sebring since 2001, coming from Swanton, Ohio. He was a supervisor in the furniture industry and was a member of Valleywood Golf Club in Swanton for 25 years. He was a member of VFW Post #4300 Auxiliary; the Elks and Sebring Golf Club and also attended St. John United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris E. Cleghorn of Sebring; daughters, Pam (Dennis) Winter of Wauseon, OH and Barbara Ann (William) Schmidt of Swanton, OH; sons, Michael Cleghorn and Kevin (Diana) Cleghorn, both of Sebring, FL; sister, Isabell Drew and half sister, Sharon Cline, both of Toledo, OH; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. (His parents Howard and Mildred preceded him in death and also a half brother Russell Baker preceded him in death.) Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419-826-2631). A memorial service will begin Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 Dodge St. in Swanton, with Rev. Brian Haller officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Development Dept., 4418 Sun 'n Lake Blvd., Sebring, Florida 33872. |
