HINKLE, Wilma A. (ROWLAND) February 9, 2005 WILMA A. HINKLE MUNCIE, Ind. -- Wilma A. Hinkle, 79, Muncie, Ind., formerly of Lyons, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 9, 2005, at The Woodlands. She was born in Delta, Ohio, March 12, 1925, the daughter of Dortha Shumaker Rowland and Clare Rowland. Wilma lived most of her life in Ohio and graduated from Lyons High School in 1943. She moved to Florida in the late 1980s and to the Muncie area in 1998. Her memberships include the VFW and the Universalist Church in Lyons, Ohio. Survivors include her son, Mike (Ruth) Hinkle, Muncie, Ind.; five sisters, Helen Peebles and Louise Smith, both of Lyons, Ohio; Joan Hallett, Bryan, Ohio; Jeanette Fleck, Marysville, Ohio; and Kathy (Dan) Damiano, Columbus, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert Hinkle, who passed away May 13, 2001. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lyons Disciples of Christ Church with Pastor Brent Pomeroy officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. The Meeks Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lyons VFW Post or to the Lyons Historical Society.
