WOODRING, Donald E. January, 2009 Donald E. Woodring, 81, of Lyons passed from this life at his winter home in DeLeon Springs, Fla. surrounded by his family. He was born on July 20, 1927, to the late Floyd and Mary Elizabeth Woodring. He married Dorothy Blosser on June 18, 1950, and she survives. Donald worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad and retired after 44 years. He was a member of the Lyons Christian Church where he was an Elder. Donald is also survived by his children, Linda (Jim) Arthur of Napoleon, Shirley (Daniel) Schroeder of DeLand, Fla., George (Mary) Woodring of Yalaha, Fla. ,and Dawn Woodring of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grand children; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step- great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Mumy, and brothers, Glenn Woodring and Wayne Woodring. A memorial service was held in Florida; one will be held in Ohio later this spring when Dorothy returns to Ohio. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Lyons Christian Church.
