GREEN, James W. December 24, 2008  James W. Green, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Morenci, passed away, unexpectedly December 24, 2008, in Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. James was born September 7, 1959, at Blanchard Hospital, Morenci, MI, the son of Kenneth and Shirley (Lemke) Green. James graduated from Morenci High School in the year of 78. He started his career in cooking at Norm’s Restaurant in Lyons, OH in 1976. In 1984, Jim joined the Old Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurant Chain. For 24 years, he worked in many of their restaurants throughout the country. He was executive chef for the restaurant chain receiving many awards over the years. He is survived by his mother; sister, Becky Zook; and nephew Arthur Zook. His father preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by two of his best friends, Ralph Wolfe and Russ Ballew. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and many cousins. Funeral services for James will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Reverend William Van Valkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
