MARKLEY, Arthur June 18, 2008 Arthur Markley, 84, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Lake Park Comfort Care Unit in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born on February 19, 1924, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of Floyd & Gladys (Wolcott) Markley. On September 22, 1948, in Seward, Ohio, he married Annabell Ort and she survives. Arthur graduated from Lyons High School class of 1942. He joined the US Army in January of 1943 and served until April of 1946, during World War II. He was formerly employed at Tecumseh Products retiring in 1982, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening & camping and was a member of the Lyons VFW and the Lytton Fox Hunters Club. Besides his wife, Annabell, Arthur is survived by two daughters, Julie Fenicle of Lyons and Nancy (Jeff) Richards of Wauseon; a daughter in law, Bonnie Markley of Delta, Ohio; three grandchildren, Bill Fenicle of Lyons, Jeff (Michele) Fenicle of Petersburg, Virginia, and Jake Richards of Wauseon; and four sisters, Betty Sutton of Morenci, Michigan, Phylis Mull of Toledo, Ohio, Joan (Charles) Krause of Burlington, Wisconsin, and Nina Markley of Cincinnati, Ohio. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ralph "Gene" Markley; a son in law, George R. Fenicle; and a sister, Grace Smith. There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2008, from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci. A private funeral will take place at a later date. A special thanks is offered to the Lyons Royalton Fire Department and to the Lake Park Comfort Care Unit where the memorial contributions are suggested to go.
