She was united in marriage to John B. Wood of Lyons, Ohio, November 7, 1860. To them were born three children, a daughter who died in infancy and two sons Lue L. of Lyons and Arthur C. of Adrian, Michigan. Besides her two sons she leaves to mourn her death three grandsons, one grand daughter and two great-grandsons, also one brother and sister. Mr. Albert C. Daniels and Mrs. Harmon Lauderdale both of whom reside in Lyons and a host of friends. Her husband preceded her to the great beyond July 21, 1918. She united with the Church of Christ at Lyons, March 16, 1863 and was baptized in to Christ by Elder Benjamin Lockhart and has been a faithful member ever since. She was a kind and loving wife and mother always devoted to her home never caring to leave it for any length of time. Owing to her condition she could not spend her last days in her cherished home surrounded there by old friends and neighbors whom she loved. She has been a great and patient sufferer for years but has received the most tender care from her husband while she lived and nothing but praise and thankfulness was expressed by her for the loving care given her by her sons and their families in this last long illness. Dearest mother, how we'll miss you In the years that will roll by. You have left us sad and lonely For your home up in the sky. She bade no one a last farewell; She said goodbye to none; Her loving heart ceased to beat, And before we knew it she was gone. Gone, but not forgotten Her memory shall never fade. A loving heart shall always linger Around the grave where she is laid. Card Of Thanks Mr. L. L. Wood and family Dr. A. C. Wood and family |
