     OCCUPATION: Farm Laborer.
     DEATH: November 20, 1871 in Whitehouse, Ohio.
     BURIAL: Whitehouse Cemetery, Ohio.

     The family evidently moved to America between 1869, when Emil was born in Switzerland, and October of 1870, when Emma was born in Ohio. On the 1870 Census, the family had $300 of personal estate, the oldest child, Paul, 15 years old, worked as a laborer; the next 5 children attended school and the youngest 2 children were at home.
