924. Robert ^ "the Elder" BRASSEUR Sr. was born in 1597 at Pernes, Vaucluse, France. He immigrated in 1635 to Maryland. He died in 1665 at Nansemond County, Virginia. Still "Seized of" the the 600-acres he and Peter Rey had bought from Peter Johnson in 1638. This land went in April 1667 to Robert's oldest surving son, John Brasseur, of Nansemond Co, VA, who was living on the land in 1667. He died on 5 Dec 1665 at "Upper Bennett", Chesapeake Beach, Calvert County, Maryland. Try not to confuse Robert (Sr) or Robert I, with his son, Robert Brasheur "the Elder" who dictated his will to John Cobreath on 4 Dec 1665 at "Upper Bennett" in Calvert Co, MD, and died the next day. Robert Brashier III, s/o Benois, disputed Robert II's will, and the court case is extant.

Robert Brasseur renewed a note on 1 Jun1636 in Warrisquicke Co, VA, indicating he had been in the country long enough to have borrowed money or bought land and have the note come due. This Robert arrived c1635 with at least seven children.


Robert ^ "the Elder" BRASSEUR Sr. and Elizabeth FOWKE were married in 1621 in Virginia.

925. Elizabeth FOWKE was born in 1592 at Marcelle, France. She died in 1665 at Calvert County, Maryland. Children were:
