28. William ^ MONETT\MONNET was born about 1739 at Westmoreland County, Virginia. IGI sources say born in Hampshire County, Virginia He died in 1778/79 at Greene County, Alabama. IGI sources say Greene County, Alabama. However, they did not come to Alabama with their sons, and this is an error, possibly gleaned from Ora E. Monnette's writings. Nor did they live with James in Tennessee 1800-1817 Lived in vicinity of "Natural Bridge" (which was owned by one of Charles W. Johnson, MD's wife's Harrisons of Augusta County. His family was in Westmoreland County, Virginia, the part that later became Hampshire County, in 1790 where he was friends with Michael Landers.

His death left his widow and 4 children. All of these moved in with Michael and Jane Landers William ^ MONETT\MONNET and Margaret ^ ALLNUT were married about 1765 in Calvert County, Maryland.73

29. Margaret ^ ALLNUT was born about 1741 at Calvert County, Maryland. Children were:

Thomas MONETT\MONNET was born about 1765 at Calvert County, Maryland.

Margaret MONNET was born on 24 Feb 1782 at Calvert County, Maryland.59

Abraham MONNET was born after 1765 at Calvert County, Maryland.

William MONETT\MONNET was born after 1765 at Calvert County, Maryland.

Isaac MONNET (IV) was born about 1774. He died on 3 Jun 1852 at Putnam County, Indian Territory.

John DEMONEY was born in 1778 at Newberry County, South Carolina.74 He died in Mar 1852 at Campbell County, Georgia. He was adopted by he as small boy. Other spellings of the surname are: Monnett, Money, DeMoney, etc.

John moved to Campbell County, Georgia and had many children who married Googans and Motes.

One source, Marion Eve, says that John Demoney married Nancy Googans, daughter of George Googans and Sarah Butler, daughter of John Butler of Culpeper County, and George being the son of Daniel Googans and Nancy Williams of Culpeper. Nancy Demoney was a 7.78% heir of George googans in 1803. Whether Nancy Catherine Dickenson and Nancy Googans are the same person with a previous marriage to a Dickenson remains to be solved.

Dr. & Rev. Samuel M. MONETT was born on 7 Feb 1778 at Virginia or Calvert County, Maryland. He was living after 1801 in Washington, Mississippi. He died on 23 Aug 1823 at Darien, Georgia. He was buried in "Sweet Auburn", Washington, Mississippi. He was a served in the State legislaure in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was a Methodist Minister, Writer and physician in various places. Samuel had numerous land transactions of record in Ohio, before going South, as well as a major contract in 1821 in the Louisiana State Records for providing timber to the US Army.
