The
results of the search efforts of Merle C. Keepers, Henry Lloyd Keepers, and
others were summarized for the 1979 edition of the Keepers Family Genealogy in
the six letters listed below. I will be
revising the information given therein as time progresses.
Note: The book, ‘Ancestors’, is now again in
print.

2009 Update: There is recent support for the Netherlands as the source of the Keepers family in America. Henk Kepers has an excellent website, www.kepers.net, that has a searchable database. Click on genealogy if you go there. You may want to contact Henk directly to pursue the issue. A fact that supports the argument for a Dutch source is that William Keepers shows up as the first passenger listed on the Constant Friendship. The list is not alphabetical. It appears that the ship left from Holland and stopped in England on its way to America, although we are not 100% certain at this time. See Group 1, endnote 1, for details concerning the passenger list.
