John B. Keepers (Group 8) Will

In the name of God, amen. I, John B. Keepers, of Frederick County in the State of Maryland, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say, First and principally, I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God, and my Body to the earth to be decently buried, and after payment of my just debts and funeral charges, I will, devise and bequeath as follows, to wit: First, I give, devise and bequeath unto my son Alexius Vincent all my Real and personal Estate of which I am now possessed, or of which I shall die seized and possessed subject nevertheless to the following limitations and conditions. That is to say, he, my said son, shall pay to my daughter Catharine Ann Seabold, wife of Joseph Seabold, the sum of three hundred dollars, and my said son shall also pay to the children of my deceased daughter, Helena Elizabeth, formerly wife of Thomas Manning, the sum of two hundred dollars to be divided amongst them share and share alike and to the survivors of them, as they come of age. And, my said son shall also pay to the children of my deceased daughter, Philomena Mary, formerly wife of Daniel Manning, the sum of two hundred dollars to be divided amongst them share and share alike, as the same shall arrive at legal age.
And lastly, I do hereby constitute, authorize and appoint my son Alexius Vincent Keepers the sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my Last will and Testament. In witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal this day of eighteen hundred and seventy-seven.
