It is
entirely speculative that Jonathon Keepers is the progenitor of this line. We are making this guess based of the wealth
of information regarding his older brothers.
Brothers William and Isaac and their families are well documented in
Ohio records. Another brother, Joseph,
died in 1796 at 23 years of age. It is
possible that later obituaries may resolve the parentage of Ely and a probable
brother, W. Keepers, born in 1813 in Virginia.
