Eliza Newcomer (Group 10) Will
dated August 8, 1904
I, Eliza Newcomer, of Connellsville, County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. FIRST: It is my will and I do so order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied, including the expense of a tombstone to be erected over my remains, in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, as near like the one now erected over the remains of my late husband Jonathan Newcomer, deceased, also including all expenses incurred by my children in coming to and from my funeral. And it is also my will and I do so order that the sum of one hundred dollars be paid to the family at whose house I am staying at the time of my decease, in consideration of my trouble. And as touching on all the rest, residue and remainder of my property and wherever the same shall be at the time of my death, whether real or personal, I give, devise and bequeath unto my following named children or their heirs equally, share and share alike, after deducting all of said expenses, viz.: Keepers M. Newcomer, Harriet F. George, Isadore C. Bougher, Mary B. Barnes, Eva E. Dill and the living children of my deceased son Isaac M. Newcomer, and Daniel G. Newcomer. I do hereby make, constitute and appoint John Kurtz of Connellsville, Fayette Co., Penn., to be the Executor of this my last will and testament. In witness thereof, I, Eliza Newcomer, the testatrix above named, have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the eighth (8) day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four (1904).
