WILBERT ISREAL HILTZ, (Happy) - 80, Gypsum Mines Road, Hants Co., formerly of South Rawdon, died March 20, 1995, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born at Martins River, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Herbert and Lois Catherine Hiltz. He drove for Yellow, Casino and Maple Leaf cabs for many years. He operated a riding school, Happy Hour Riding School, Bayers Road, for many years and also trained horses. He appeared at several shows where he and his horse, Laddie performed various stunts. Surviving are his wife, the former Gerrine Frank and their children, James Stephen, at home; Brian Stephen, David James, Sackville; children of his first marriage, Reta Kays, Halifax; Judith Ann, Vancouver; Betty Lou, Calgary; sons, Charles Buck, Halifax; Roy Clayton, Coldbrook; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Clem, Lunenburg; sister, Floretta Allen, First Peninsula. EUGENE E. WILSON - 95, Liverpool, died May 5, 1995, in Queens Manor, Liverpool. Born at Martins River, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Freeman J. and Lottie M. (Rafuse) Wilson. He was a veteran of the First World War, having served overseas. Together with his wife, he was owner-operator of Wilson's Electric Appliances and Gifts Store in Toronto. He was a 32nd degree Mason and past master of Fairbanks Lodge 592, Toronto. He was an active member of Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool. Surviving are a sister, Vera (Mrs. St. Clair Hartlen), Liverpool; a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Emma C. ROY ST. CLAIR MEISNER, 97, Melville Heights, Halifax, formerly of Blandford, died May 24, 1995, at home. Born at Martins River, on October 27, 1897 he was a son of the late Noah and Mary (Keddy) Meisner. Roy built his family home (after digging out the cellar with the help of family and friends) and most of the furniture in it, learning carpentry from his grandfather. After retirement, and until his eyesight failed, he spent many hours building model boats, handcrafting large replicas of the Bluenose that are proudly displayed in the home of his children. In his younger years, he worked long hours as a fisherman and farmer. In his spare time he knit a large number of afghans for the home and hundreds of pairs of mittens and socks for children, grandchildren and the Blandford Guild. He will be remembered by many people in the community as well as Halifax whose homes display the top quality cabinetry and other carpentry work. He and his wife would have been celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary on July 11th. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Arlene Stevens; sons, Carroll, Mississauga, Ont.; George, Five Island Lake; daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Manfred Kohl), Blandford; Sheila (Mrs. Thomas Robertson), Sheldrake Lake; Carolyn (Mrs. Thomas Grandy), Halifax; 14 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brother, Ernest. the veteran's wing of Fishermen's Memorial Hospital. Born in Yarmouth,
he was a son of the late Ernest and Agnes Ritchie. He served in the Royal
Canadian Navy for 26 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Seretha
(Sherman) Bell; stepson, Jim Bell, Martins River; granddaughter, Stephanie
Bayer, Vancouver, B.C.; stepgrandchildren, Christa and James Bell, Martins
River. He was predeceased by son, Paul. Cremation has taken place. No visitation
