Notes: Alexander Murray, Alexander Stewart Jr., and William Mackay Ize pay but one half,
the river having carried away the rest.
George Clark, Kennith Mackinnon and Alexander Stewart pay but one half (as above).
Neil McFinlay, John McEuen, Widdow Cahnan – This is said to be diminished 3 bolls by damages
done by the river which encroaches daily.
Finlay McAndra Voir – It is believed a few years will carry away the remaining part of the Easter and
Wester quarters. The farmer last Harvest was forced to run for his life, and his corn was carried off by
the waters together with ground it grew on. Thus he seldom has the same ground to plough two years
to an end.
