MRS. RUTHIE ERETTE DOWNING

A native of Indian Springs, a resident of Wilmer, died at the family home June 24, 1960 at 11:50 a.m. She is survived by her husband, Wiley Downing, Tanner-Williams; two daughters, Mrs. Maude James, New Orleans, La., and Mrs. Mabel Tanner, Wilmer, Ala; five sons, Martin Downing, Semmes, Ala., Alvin Downing, Brewton, Wiley Downing Jr., New York City, Julius Downing, Mobile nd Chelon Downing, Wilmer., Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Newbill, Prichard, Mrs. Fannie Smith, Mobile, and Mrs. Lora Bentley, Indian Springs, Ala.; one brother, Phelon Crabtree, Indian Springs; 15 grandchildren., and other relatives. Her remains will be at Higgins Mortuary until noon Sunday. Funeral services will be from the Wilmer Baptist Church Sunday at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Wilmer Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Higgins Mortuary.
