Robert Bradbury Christine was born in Philadelphia, but I've lived in New Jersey for the past 30 years.

Surnames Robert is researching include: I understand that my descendants came from Germany, landed in Philadelphia, and from there moved north.
I have been trying to get information about them.
I understant that there were three brothers, Peter, Christian and Hans Jerg. Their last name was Christein or Christen, then later was changed to Christine.
I see that the article about Old Saucon Township mentions the Christines and am wondering if there are still descendants living in the area that would have information about the family.
I appreciate any help.
Bob Christine, Jr.

What did Robert think of this site? Very Good.

What did Nancy think of this site? I'm amazed that you have done such a thorough search of both sides of your family. My brother sent the Old Saucon section to me just today and I could relate to many of the names mentioned. My husband found the rest of the site and we have been reading the surnames and have found one family that I grew up with in Hellertown--the Judds. I visit the Hellertown cemetery anytime that we get to PA which was just last month. My whole family of Oplingers and Kunsmans are there. Thanks for the memories!

Neal T. Lesh from 'I currently live in the little farming community called Newton Township, which is 6 miles from Clarks-Summit, Lackawanna County, PA and about 12 miles to Scranton, PA.', checked in on June 16, 2001.

Surnames Neal is researching include; ACE, ANTHONY, BEAGLE, BEAL, BENNETT, BERRY, BULLARD, CARPENTER, CERRA, CHAMPLAIN, COOPER, CREAMER, DAILEY, DELACY, DERBY, DICKENSON, DORSHEIMER, DUCKWORTH, ERNST, EVATT, FABEL, FABIAN, FAUNA, FOX, GEISLER, GETZ, GRUBE, HALL, HICE [HEISS], HINELINE [HEINLEIN], HOWE, [Native American], HUNT, HUTH, JACOBS, KERN, KING, KIRCHER, KISTLER, KOOKEN, KRESGE, LAIRD, LAMBERT, LANTZ, LEWIS, MADISON, MARLOTT [MARLATT], MARSTELLER [MOSTELLER], MATHEW, McLELLIN, MEESON, MERVINE, MOSTELLER [MARSTELLER], O'BRIEN, OLBERT, ORR, PRALL, PRICE, RAUB, RICCA [RICH], ROBINSON, ROSS, ROWLANDS, RUPLE, SCHAFER [SHAVER], SCHAMBERG, SCHERER, SEEMS, SHAFER, SHIVELEY, SMITH, STAPLES, STRACKEN, TEETER, THOMAS, UHLER, WOODLING [WOOTRING]

What did Neal think of this site? We haven't yet developed our site yet, but yours is certainly one to emulate. If I were to change anything it would be to offer information in TEXT format because on the older computers, like I have, it takes forever to read formatted files. That being said, I know I will have to come back and spend some time going over all the so that I might get some ideas on how to layout ours [Hope you don't mind].

I don't mind at all Neal!! Glad you enjoyed it and I will definatly work on a text only format! Thanks for the input.

Jane E. Dodson from Raymore, MO, checked in on June 15, 2001.

Surnames Jane is researching include; From my mother's ancestors - BOEHM, MOORE, YEAGER, GEISSINGER, UEBEROTH, SLOYER, RUTH all back to Eastern, PA. STODDARD MacALLISTER, JORDON back to Allegeny and Beaver Co. PA

From my father's ancestors - TURNER, COLLINS, SPOOR, FENWICK, THOMPSON all back into England.

From my husband's ancestors - DODSON, MATHNEY, PITMAN, HAYS, BOONE, BRYAN, JETER, WHITE, LEFTWICH, BUFORD, LOGWOOD - most of these are back to VA. area before the Rev. War.

What did Jane think of this site? The article on Old Saucon was a wonderful find. Have only been in that area for one day in 1975 and met Earl Solliday at a filling station in Hellertown. He guided us to a cemetery and I found several of my MORE/MOORE ancestors and BOEHM graves. It was cold and rainy and I was out of film so no pictures. At that time I was just doing family history--later regreted I did not record findings the proper way. Now at 82 am working hard to do it right. I liked the military touch to your web site. My husband was career Navy and we were in Hawaii Dec '41. I know JETER RUTH and Philip BOEHM were in the Rev. War and many Al's we have records of beings from VA in the Rev war. I did not find the name RUTH in the Saucon acct. He was from Lower Saucon. Could ROTH and RUTH be like MOORE-MORE-MOHR and the SLOYER really changes as it goes back. Keep up the good work.
