Our Grandfather, James Albert Worrall, was born in or around
Blackpool, England in 1887. He emigrated to Ontario, Canada some time before the
First World War. He served in the 60th Infantry Battalion as part of the Canadian
Expeditionary Force that was sent overseas to Europe during World War I. He was
Honourably Discharged on November 30th, 1917, due to a leg wound.
My Grandfather married twice. With his first wife (I have no information on)
he had two children, Kenny and Evelyn Worrall and with his second wife, Mary Bridgett
Blakeley, he had one son, Albert. Mary Blakeley was born in Wicklow, Ireland.
She too, had been married previously and widowed.
Mary and James' son Albert (our father) married Anne Marie Buckman. Albert Worrall was
born in Ontario Canada on July 22, 1933 and lived there until his death in 1998.
