Creek Cousin

Grandpa Charlie McClain was the son of Elizabeth Broadway and Josiah Marion McClain. Josiah's parents were "Anna"   and James McClain of Georgia, possibly former Creek Nation.

Elizabeth's parents were Mary Susan Stephens and Abner Broadway of Alabama who's families had migrated from the 1700s South Carolina.
