Thank you for visiting my Family History pages!

Beginning a Family Tree
becomes really fascinating when you discover the many Mothers of your parents!
Where they came from and stories about their childhood, where they traveled and where they went to Church.
.
Studying them on a census record shows their neighbors or cousins or you might even find their spouse when he was a small child. Each step is so amazing!
Go back through old family photo albums and see who wrote what on the backs!! Visit the family cemeteries and take notes of names and dates. Flip through any old cards, letters, and funeral records, or especially take note of writings in the Family Bible. I have scanned tons of these special items to "document" my family's history.
When I went through my mother's old trunk in the closet, one I climbed on as a kid, I pulled out several old quilts we had made with my great grandmother in the 1960s, some photo albums, our very old baby clothes, and when I reached bottom, the trunk was lined with newspapers that were printed the day after President Kennedy died. Then up in the attic was a vinyl diaper bag my mother carried in 1956 full of postcards and letters, a few of my dad's paycheck stubs and little newspaper clippings and mementos she had treasured which included a pocket sized Bible which belonged to her father. Clues everywhere !!
Now people write to me when they read my pages and send me new information or pictures, truly amazing stuff when we connect.
