John Brooke Of Holland
John married a woman from France, possibly in Pennsylvania where their children were born. Their son John worked as a tailor by trade and found on the 1860 census of Giles Tennessee, where he married that year to Roxanna Permilia Smith and moved to Texas. He died there of tuberculosis and her old boyfriend went there to get her and bring the family back to Tennessee. His name was Dr Crittendon Smith. Roxanna had named a son John Edwin Brooks who married Annie Clark Ballard in Maury County Tennessee and he was working for the railroad when transferred to Montgomery Alabama. Annie had only one child, James Edgar Brooks who married Susie Mae Cooper.
