Hills Chapel Church was founded in 1872 and the well kept cemetery is across the street where John Thomas Bozeman and his brother Peter James Bozeman are buried among some of their children.  However the many many acres of woods behind the church was our adventure of the day, where their father Peter Edward Bozeman born 1834 was buried and it was a day of carefully searching and cleaning revealed our ancestor of the Civil War.  Bozemans from several places in Alabama gathered in this search, as our elder Bozemans told us this was once a very large graveyard with many more headstones that we failed to locate and uncover.
There is a strong possibility that Martha Hill Bozeman is also buried here along with her brother John Hill who once owned this land.  John Hill was the son of Am Rev Soldier John Hill who also lived in South Carolina.,  He may have buried many of his family members here.  The Bozemans and the Dillards lived nearby on their farms, intermarried with these families.  The Dillards granddaughter remembered at least fifty tombstones here that we have yet to uncover.

Stepping very carefully as rocks are discovered which obviously are grave markers we find another civil war soldier, R Hill buried by Peter Bozeman.  Several sunken places, some with a large rock may indicate others are resting here.
