Civil War Service: 10th MO Volunteers, Infantry. Discharged 1865. Testimony of H. L. Darling of Birch Tree, Shannon Co MO says that W. F. Wood enlisted in the 60 day Troops in Sep 1861; April 1862 joined the 10th MO. On Dec 1862 he resigned. Then in May of 1863 joined the 10th MO as a private and served until the end of the War and surrendered at Shrevesport LA 1865.
