In 1930, Ollea Haggard was widowed, age 48. b. AR, said her parents both b. VA. Children still at home and unmarried were George, 21, Inez 15, Harry L. 12, Garth 10, and Jack 8. Hatty Neal, age 32 [eldest daughter] was also living there. Husband Guess [Gus], age 34, and Allean, their dau. age 11.

Comstock book gives year of birth as 1879 - from the 1880 census. Son George stated to Mary Jane Comstock that he was born in 1876. 1910 Census says Jun 1877. The 1920 census indicates he was born in 1877.

Buried in Uniontown Cemetery. Listed as G. W. "Wash" Haggard. The Arkansas Death Index transcription gives his date of death as 7 Sep 1928 instead of 8 Aug 1927.

There were no children. George's grave is listed as George W. Haggard III, in a list of U.S. Veterans Gravesites on Ancestry. George W. Haggard III, 93, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having been stationed in the Mid East and Iran, a member of the VFW No. 1322 and Wood Memorial Christian Church. He was a musician and a published songwriter. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Uniontown Cemetery. He is survived by a sister, Pearl Bray of Van Buren; a brother, Garth W.
