WILLIAM MOORE WOOD and NANCY E. WINKLER were married on 14 January 1841 in Macon County, Missouri.1,24 NANCY E. WINKLER1,25, daughter of WILLIAM WINKLER and NANCY D. NOLAND, was born on 15 September 1825 in Madison County, Kentucky.1,25,26 She died on 1 March 1853 at the age of 27 in Crawford County, Arkansas.1,25,26
Goodspeed's article gives her name as Mary C., but she was called Nancy in the marriage record. He had also confused her mother's name. I believe they were both Nancy. Her grave marker has her name as Nancy E.
William Winkler, son of Henry Winkler & Susannah Ross did marry Nancy Noland, 4 Jul 1814 in Madison Co KY.
He sued her for divorce: 19 Oct 1836. William Winkler vs. Nancy Winkler, whereas Williams Winkler intermarried with a Nancy Noland, lived with her for several years, she abandoned her bed and now is more than thirteen years since his wife abandoned him.
Note: If indeed Nancy had left William thirteen years earlier in 1823, then it's likely two or three of her children were not his, particularly this daughter Nancy whose grave marker gives her birth as 1825. He was not with the family in 1830. He married again to Margaret Farthing in 1840 and is in the Estill Co KY census with her and their children in 1850. His ex-wife did not marry again. Daughter Nancy did marry as a Winkler, however. There is no way now to prove if he was her father.
Found William Woods marrying Nancy Winkler, 14 Jan 1841 in Macon County -

Buried at Dripping Springs Cemetery, Crawford County, AR. b. 1825, d.1853
WILLIAM MOORE WOOD and NANCY E. WINKLER had the following children:
William WOOD was born after 1841.1 He died before 1850 at the age of 9.3 Probably died as infant. Not in 1850 Census.
JOSEPH CHRISTOPHER WOOD.
WILLIAM MOORE WOOD and Susan Amanda "Manda" BISWELL were married on 29 July 1855 in Adair County, Missouri.1,27 Susan Amanda "Manda" BISWELL, daughter of Richard BISWELL and Sarah PARKER, was born in November 1838 in Adair County, Missouri.1,18,28 She died after 1900 at the age of 62.28 She was buried in Woods Cemetery, Crawford County, Arkansas.
In the 1900 Census Manda stated she had 6 children, 5 living. It would seem to me there are too many children subscribed to this family. Louisan is the deceased child. I have seen in other databases, but without any census evidence, another daughter is Lavinia and many omit Louisan - Is perhaps Lavinia the same child as Louisan? Since the censuses and the grave of Louisan indicate a total of 7 children, perhaps one of the older children had died by 1900 and she didn't really count the infant who had died so many years before.
Found in the 1900 Crawford Co Census, age 61, widowed, living with Minnie and Lee.
Her stone in Woods Cemetery has no dates.
WILLIAM MOORE WOOD and Susan Amanda "Manda" BISWELL had the following children:
John William WOOD.
Louisian WOOD1,19 was born on 4 March 1860 in Crawford County, Arkansas.29 She died on 13 May 1860 at the age of 0 in Crawford County, Arkansas.29 She was buried in Dripping Springs Cemetery, Crawford County, Arkansas.
The 1860 mortality census schedule shows she died May 1860, Jasper Twp, Crawford Co, AR. She was two months old at death.
Biography of Joseph Wood gave this child's name as Lavinia. Obviously one is wrong. She is not in the 1870 Census. John is there at age 13 and "M.J." (Martha Jane) is 8 and there is no child in between. I believe this child may have died as an infant or small child and the "History in Headstones" book is in error in giving the dates (1860-1880). Personal observation of this weathered stone revealed that the birth and death years were the same - looked more like 1850 than 1860 but the family wasn't there that early so it must be 1860. The date was in the month of May.
Martha J. WOOD.
Minnie D. WOOD1 was born about 1865 in Crawford County, Arkansas.2,18,19 She was buried in Woods Cemetery, Crawford County, Arkansas.
Minnie Wood is buried Wood Memorial Cemetery, Uniontown, Crawford Co, AR. Her stone simply says "Minnie Wood, Daughter of William & Susan Wood" No dates.
