255. Martha Belle Zora WISHARD was born on 1 September 1854 in Indiana.9,161,221 She died on 18 December 1944 at the age of 90 in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.156

Belle had several children, all who died before the age of seven - Normie, Erma, Rossie, Myrtie Minor, Monta Minton, Roxie, Harley. All are said to be buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery outside of Ladonia with other members of the Wishard families.
Two of the graves are marked:
Harley F. Partain: b. 14 Dec 1882, d. 26 Jul 1884
Roxie E. Partain: b. 4 Apr 1888, d. 11 Jun 1889

Texas Death Certificate #56254. born 1 Sep 1854, Bell died of lobar pneumonia 18 Dec 1944. She was widowed. Born Shelby, Indiana, her father was Robert Wishard, her mother Lavina Carney. Ruby Land, her niece, was the informant.

Martha Belle Zora WISHARD and James N. PARTAIN were married on 22 April 1880 in Fannin County, Texas.9,222 James N. PARTAIN221,223,224 was born in 1851 in Georgia.221,223 He died in 1921 at the age of 70 in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.9

In 1880 James stated that his father was born in NC; his mother in SC. He was listed in Precinct 5 as J. N. Partain, age 29, b. Georgia. Z. B., wife, was age 25, b. Indiana.
There was also in this census in Precinct 4, a J. W. Partain, age 33, and b. Georgia. He stated both his parents born in SC. He is probably the Joel Partain convicted of Perjury in 1883 - see notes of Edwin Wishard.

The 1870 Census gave further evidence that Joel and James Partain might have been brothers.

1910 Census: James & Belle listed in Census. 7 children born, none living. James' brother Wallace, age 50, was living with them at that time.

1920 Census James is head of the household that includes his wife Belle, nephew Rexie Wishard age 13 and his widowed father Edwin Wishard, and Edwin & Belle's unmarried sister, Emma Wishard.
