Written across the page is the following: "Inmates of Orphans Department of Soldiers and Seamans Home of Indiana, continued" Following the Wishard children is a school teacher minister, cook, etc. Many of those listed are in the 30's to 50-'s, and from Ireland, England, etc. It would appear that Wishard is working at this institution.

A Union Army Civil War pension application exists for Milton Wishard; lists widow as Lucinda B. Wishard. She was apparently a second wife.

It is strange but Milton, his first wife Mary E. and second wife Lucinda seems to have burial records at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. It seems likely their bodies were moved. The date of burial on the website for both Milton and Mary is 15 Apr 1899 - many years after they died. Lucinda B. Wishard was buried 1 May 1892.

If this was my family line, I would want to know more about the Soldiers & Seamans Home; and I would want copies of the Civil War Pension and the burial records.
