26. RUTH WILLIAMS^24,25 was born on 9 February 1774 in Guilford County, North Carolina.¹¹ She died on 19 June 1852 at the age of 78 in Wayne County, Indiana.²⁶

1816, 7, 27 Ruth was granted certificate to New Garden MM in Wayne Co IN, but this certificate was returned on account of some omissions and another was granted 1817, 4, 26.

Still listed in Perry Twp as Jonathan but surely is the young Jonathan P. There is one male age 10-15 and one male 20-30 [Jonathan P.] 1 female age 15-20 and one female age 60-70 [Ruth]

Ruth was still living with her son Jonathan in the 1850 Census - Perry Twp, Wayne Co IN. Ruth was age 76, born in NC.

RUTH WILLIAMS and JONATHAN ADAMSON were married about 1791 in Surry County, North Carolina.^11,27 JONATHAN ADAMSON^1,28, son of SIMON ADAMSON and ?Mary T. [ADAMSON], was born on 9 October 1771.^11,29 He died on 1 June 1835 at the age of 63 in Wayne County, Indiana.^26,29

The source says born in TN. This seems very early for a birth in Tennessee - more likely born in North Carolina.

Jonathan and John were both requested to be executors of their brother Thomas when he wrote his will in February of 1812, Jefferson Co.

Notes about the Lost Creek Quaker Monthly Meeting in Jefferson Co, TN, state that between 1802 and 1820, as many as 1/3 of those leaving Lost Creek settled near the town of Economy in the northwest corner of Wayne Co IN. They established the Springfield meeting as early as 1815.

DEATH: His estate was probated on 14 Jun 1836.
