2. William Thomas WHITE^2,4,7,10,11 was born on 23 December 1804 in Tennessee.⁷ He died on 25 December 1884 at the age of 80 in Hardin County, Tennessee.⁷

William married (1) Mary Elizabeth P. Conner on 22 Sep 1828 in Hardin Co TN. He married (2) Amanda J. Hobbs, 23 Jun 1878, Hardin Co TN.

William Thomas WHITE and Mary Elizabeth CONNER were married on 22 September 1828 in Hardin County, Tennessee. Mary Elizabeth CONNER was born in 1812 in Tennessee. She died in 1878 at the age of 66.

William Thomas WHITE and Mary Elizabeth CONNER had the following children:

Andrew Burris White was the son of William, born 1836 [1838 according to the 1850 census] and served in the Civil War, applying for his pension in Titus Co TX. Some of the information available from this application includes the following. He lived at Mt. Pleasant, Titus Co, TX. He was born 16 Feb 1836 in Hardin Co TN and is now 86 [1922]. He was in Co G, 1st Confederate Cavalry. 1st Capt was Charles Robertson, 2nd Capt James Irwin, the Col. was Col. Cox and then Col. King. His father was a farmer, named William White, b. Warren Co TN and lived at the P. O. South Fork. He lived on Flat Gap Creek on the Warren/Hardin County line. His mother was Elisabeth Connor, daughter of James Connor & Lovey Rhodes who also lived a Smith Fork P. O. Father & mother were Primitive Baptists. He owned 100 acres worth $500 and a few head of livestock worth maybe $300 at the beginning of the war. His father owned slaves - a woman and 4 children and had 600 acres of land. The value of all his parents' property was $7000-8000. They lived in log house, later a frame house with stone chimneys. Andrew was the 4th boy in the family. Eight boys and 2 girls in the family. Three brothers, 1 sister now living. Andrew gave a lengthy list of all the members of his Company he could remember, one of whom was his brother Francis, as well as names and addresses of several living Veterans of the Civil War.
