The 1900 Census stated that Rebecca had 6 children, 5 now living.
Letter from "Sis" to Bettie. dated 30 Dec 1912 from Madill, OK, thanking her for a Christmas gifts. Sis also mentions gifts from Virgie & Hub (daughter Virginia) and from Robert (son). Niece Lynna has recently been to Madill for a visit, but left to go back to Como where she is apparently teaching school.

Children Delia E age 21, Joseph H age 18, John G age 16, Nannie E age 14, Jeff J age 10, and Clarissa C age 7 - all born in Texas. Mary L. Young age 16 and Willis H. Young age 10 also living with the family. James A. Galbreath, age 30, lives with them and works on the farm.

1900 Hopkins Co TX Census, Sulphur Springs. John, Rebecca and four children present. Virginia was perhaps already married. John's father born in Arkansas; his mother born Illinois. He was a Hardware Dealer. Also living with the family were boarders, W. J. Harris, b. Jan 1879, Messeger at Grocery House, and his wife Bettie, b. Apr 1883.

1910 Census. Marshall Co OK, Madill Town. Living on 2nd Avenue. John G. Russell, age 55, married 30 years. Born TX, both parents b. Arkansas. An agent in a dry goods store. Rebeccah, wife is age 54, born in Arkansas. Father b. NC, mother b. VA. She is teaching reading. Junius G., son, age 13 is the only child at home.

A saleman in Retail Dry Goods. Wife Rebecca S., age 62, b. AR, father born in NC and mother born VA. Son Junius G. was still at home at age 23. He was working as a Salesman in Men's Clothing. Junius was born in Texas before the family moved to Oklahoma

[I know of no relationship here - either John is boarding with the Hulses or they are renting from him. Rebecca had died the previous year.

Cumby, Hopkins Co, Texas, June 16 - Robert H. Russell, who met with such a tragic death in the Deere Building in Dallas last Saturday was born in the Oakland or Prim Hill community in Hopkins County in 1883, but later his parents moved to Sulphur Springs, where he was reared to maturity. He was a grandson of the late Dr. R. C. Holderness, who was one of the leading physicians of this county for more than forty years.

Robert was born 22 Jan 1883 and died 10 Jun 1922, age 39y 4m 18d. He was a life insurance salesman and married.
There was an Inquest on June 10th. He was killed by a fall through the skylight shaft and died instantly. The death was ruled an accident. Mrs. R. H. Russell was in the informant.
The certificate says he was removed to Van Buren, Arkansas for burial, but I have found no cemetery record there.

Dee lost a child in the summer of 1906 - Willie mentioned the death of the baby in a letter to Bettie Holderness Haden.
