Fifth Generation

82. Frances Ann THOMAS40,41 was born in 1832 in Virginia.61

Fannie and Virginia said to have been educated in the Danville schools, but I don't see how this is possible if Rebecca was born in Caswell Co NC in 1838 as the 1850 Census indicates. [It's plausible they could have boarded with relatives in Danville during the school year.]

By 1870, Nathaniel Richmond was apparently deceased. The Camden, Ouachita Co AR Census, p.271, Hh 299, has:
F. A. Richmond, female, age 37, b. VA
N. T., male, age 20, b. AR, working as a clerk
Anna R., age 15, Fannie S. age 13, and Virginia R., age 9.

Frances Ann THOMAS and Nathaniel W. RICHMOND were married on 8 October 1848 in Dallas County, Arkansas.3,61 Nathaniel W. RICHMOND61 was born in 1818 in North Carolina.

Living with Nat. W. and his family in 1850 were also Jno S. Richmond age 29, also born in North Carolina. No doubt a brother. Both were Merchants. Mrs. K. McClendon, age 23, born in KY, also lived with the family. She was listed as "Clerk". Could she be a widowed sister?
