188. Willie Richmond HOLDERNESS59,93,126 was born on 18 August 1877 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas.70 She died on 20 March 1963 at the age of 85 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.63
Letter from Willie to Bettie dated 20 Aug 1906 doesn't mention husband or children. She was living in Cumby at that time. She did mention a visit from Eddie & Lynna which I assume to be the cousins Eddie Russell, daughter of Rebecca, and Lynna Holderness, daughter of Robert - they were close to the same age. Also mentions that Mr. Pickens had "failed" - this was the husband of Cordova Haden who had likely failed in his business.
Both Willie and Mr. Wright were still living 26 May 1941 - letter from sister Jennie to sister Bettie mentioned them both. Mrs. C. H. Wright attended the funeral of Elizabeth Holderness Haden in Ladonia on 1 Aug 1950.

Celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. C. H. Wright entertained at open house Friday at their home, 501 West Tishomingo. About 100 friends and acquaintances called from 3 to 6 pm.
Receiving the guests with Mr. & Mrs. Wright were their son Robert Wright, Mrs. Wright and daughter Roberta Ann of Houston, TX; Mrs. Ben Long, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Charlie Morris, Madill.
...Mr. and Mrs. Wright were married in Cumbie, Tex. in 1897 and came to Madill 48 years ago. They first made their home at Oakland, moving here when Madill became a town. They have watched growth of the city from the first building erected on the Madill square. Mr. Wright was in the lumber business here 27 years and later in the garage, gasoline and oil businesses. Their present home of West Tishomingo was built in 1913.

Copy of a letter from Virginia Wright to Dr. W. H. Connor [her 1st cousin, Harris] at Cleveland City Hopital in Cleveland, Ohio, dated 4 Mar 1932 and mailed from Madill, OK. She had apparently been attending a school in Turkey which had gone under. She mentions her one and only brother having been in South America but ordered back and stationed in the East Texas oil fields.
