Robert graduated from Ladonia High School, Class of 1932; May 30, 1947 Ladonia News.
Obituary stated that he moved to Springdale, AR in 1949, first being a partner in the Lowell Seed Company [with his brother William and his father]. He worked for Thomas Fruit Co out of Joplin, MO, for 26 years.

Died of lung cancer at his home and buried Bluff Cemetery, Springdale, AR. His gravesite is listed in the U. S. Veterans Gravesite database.

He died on 8 June 2005 at the age of 62 in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.175 Jerry Don was adopted by his stepdad. Name before adoption was Jerry Don Duncan.
